Providential Baptist Church is an unapologetically conservative Southern Baptist Church and a member of the South Texas Baptist Association. The Lord’s mission for this church is to glorify Him, and to fulfill the great commission. Preaching the whole Word of God from the Bible is central to our worship because the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 1:21
“.... God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.” NASB
We have a well rounded music program that includes a blend of praise choruses as well as many favorite songs and hymns like Amazing Grace, How Great thou Art, In the Garden, The Old Rugged Cross, Blessed Assurance, etc. We have a choir and those who like to sing are encouraged to join.
Henry Blackaby said in his book, Experiencing God, “watch to see where God is working and join Him.” Those who are watching Providential Baptist Church develop into a healthy, new, growing church, see God at work, opening doors and supplying needs above and beyond anyone could imagine. When people began to pray, it became obvious that He wants a church like ours in the Pearland area.
