Scam Alert

Pastor Steve has become aware of someone using an email address intentionally fabricated to impersonate him. Currently, he is aware of only one individual receiving a communication from the scam email address.

Known so far...

The individual that received the scam email was a past member of the church, out of contact for several years. A scammer could get their email address any number of ways. The mystery is how the scammer connected them to the church such that an email appearing to come from Pastor Steve would matter.

In the email, the scammer was seeking information. The content was suspicious enough to trigger the recipient to reach out to Pastor Steve and make him aware of the situation.

If you receive an email from the scammer DO NOT RESPOND to it. Instead, contact Pastor Steve and let him know the details of what you received.
